The Mission and Installation Contracting Command-Fort Polk office is subordinate to the 419th Contracting Support Brigade located at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Assigned with 14 civilian and seven military contracting professionals, MICC-Fort Polk provides cradle-to-grave contract support to tenants and units located at Fort Polk, Louisiana. A variety of contracts are awarded and administered, including commodities, services and construction contracts that are bound by the Federal Acquisition Regulation and other procurement rules and policies. MICC-Fort Polk prides itself with the duty to support the training needs of the Joint Readiness Training Center, 3rd Brigade, 10th Mountain Division, Installation Management Command, Bayne Jones Army Community Hospital, Network Enterprise Center, Logistics Readiness Center-Army Material Command, 1st Maneuver Enhancement Brigade and the several other units assigned to Fort Polk. In support of the training and readiness mission, the MICC-fort Polk contracting office awards more than $150 million in contracts annually to small and large businesses located in the many towns and communities of Central Louisiana and the Fort Polk region.
